These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, this doesn't deprive you of protections under your own country's law.
Consumers and business customers. Some sections below apply only to consumers — individuals buying outside a trade, business or profession — and some only to business customers. Where a section applies to one and not the other, it says so.
Placing an order
Adding items to your basket and submitting an order is an offer to buy. Our order acknowledgement email confirms we've received it — it isn't acceptance. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation, and it covers only the items listed in that confirmation.
We may decline an order — for example if an item is unavailable, if we can't verify payment, if there's a pricing or description error, or if we can't deliver to your address. If we've already taken payment we'll refund you in full.
Pricing and payment
- Prices are shown in euro. Whether they include VAT depends on your account type and is shown clearly at checkout.
- Prices and specifications can change without notice, but changes won't affect orders we've already accepted.
- If we spot an obvious pricing error before dispatch we'll contact you to confirm or cancel, rather than fulfilling at the wrong price.
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and Stripe. Approved trade account holders may pay on agreed credit terms.
- Goods remain our property until paid for in full.
Delivery
Full delivery times, zones and costs are on our delivery page, which forms part of these terms. In summary:
- Republic of Ireland orders placed before 1.00pm are dispatched for next business day delivery.
- Deliveries take place Monday to Friday. Saturday delivery may be available on request.
- Delivery costs depend on destination, weight and parcel size.
- Our webshop currently accepts delivery addresses in the Republic of Ireland only. We do ship elsewhere in Europe — please contact us to order.
Delivery estimates are estimates. Where we can't meet an estimate by more than a few days we'll contact you, and you may cancel for a full refund. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Please check your order on arrival and tell us about damage or shortages within 3 working days so we can resolve it quickly. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.
Your right to cancel — consumers only
If you are a consumer you have 14 days from the day you receive the goods to cancel, without giving a reason. Where an order is delivered in instalments, the 14 days runs from the last item.
To cancel, tell us clearly before the 14 days expire — email sales@advancedsafety.ie, call +353 (0) 94 902 7674, or use the form at the end of these terms. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
- We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of proof you've sent them, whichever is sooner.
- We refund the price and our standard outbound delivery charge. If you chose a more expensive delivery option we refund the standard rate only.
- You pay the cost of returning the goods.
- Goods should be returned unused, in their original packaging, adequately packed. We may reduce the refund to reflect handling beyond what's needed to check the item, in the way you would in a shop.
- We refund to your original payment method.
When the right to cancel doesn't apply
By law the 14-day right doesn't apply to:
- Made-to-order or personalised goods — including embroidered, printed or otherwise customised workwear and PPE.
- Sealed goods that aren't suitable for return on health or hygiene grounds, once the seal is broken. This includes earplugs, disposable masks and respirators, and similar single-use protective items.
- Goods that become inseparably mixed with other items after delivery.
None of this affects your statutory rights if goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
Returns — business customers
The 14-day cancellation right above is a consumer right and doesn't apply to business purchases. As a matter of goodwill we will normally accept returns of unused, unopened, non-customised stock items within 30 days, subject to prior authorisation and a restocking charge.
Please contact us for a returns authorisation before sending anything back. Your statutory rights in respect of faulty or misdescribed goods are unaffected.
Faulty or incorrect goods
If goods arrive faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, contact us and we'll arrange a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate, at our cost including return carriage. Manufacturer warranties, where they apply, are in addition to your legal rights.
Returns address
Please obtain a returns authorisation before sending anything, then return to:

Product information and suitability
We describe and photograph products using manufacturer information, catalogues and our own photography. We aim for complete accuracy but errors happen — tell us if you spot one. If you've bought something based on an incorrect image or description, we'll replace or refund it unused.
Personal protective equipment must be correctly selected, fitted, used and maintained to protect the wearer. Product descriptions and standards references are provided in good faith and are not a substitute for your own risk assessment or for professional advice on what your workplace requires. Always read the manufacturer's instructions and declaration of conformity. We're glad to advise — get in touch — but responsibility for selecting suitable equipment for a given hazard rests with the employer or user.

Products are subject to availability. If something you've ordered is out of stock we'll tell you promptly and offer an alternative, a wait, or a refund.
